Tournament of Champions NBA Draft Legacy Grows to 68
This year’s NBA draft continued the rich history of ToC alumni being drafted.
We saw 4 players taken this year, which takes the total number of players drafted to 68 over the last 19 years.
With the 4th pick in the 2025 NBA draft, the Charlotte Hornets select Kon Knueppel of Duke University.
Kon scored 18 pts, grabbed 9 boards and passed out 5 assists as he helped lead the Vikings to a big-time victory over Moline in the ToC Shootout Series.
With the 7th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, the NEW ORLEANS PELICANS select Jeremiah Fears of Oklahoma University
Fears was an All-ToC performer for Joliet West in the 2022 National Classic, and scored 133 career ToC points.
He was also named to the ToC All-Hair Team!
Fears averaged 18.3 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 3.5 spg and 3.0 apg for the Tigers in ’22.
With the 27th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, the Brooklyn Nets select Danny Wolf of the University of Michigan
Wolf was a starting 2-guard for Lake Forest Academy in the 2019 ToC National Classic.
He was the 3rd leading scorer (8 ppg- 4 rpg) for the Caxys.
His height zoomed from 6’4″ to 7’0″ in three years!
With the 56th pick of the 2025 NBA Draft, the Memphis Grizzlies select Will Richard of the University of Florida and trade him to the Golden State Warriors
Richard was an All-ToC performer in the 2019 National Classic.
He averaged 15 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.8 steals per outing.
